According to the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) businesses that previously registered to perform essential services during the lockdown will need new certificates from Friday 17 April.

The CIPC said it will send new certificates covering the extended lockdown period, which starts on Friday, via email to addresses provided at the time of registration. New certificates are also already available for downloading on the BizPortal site.

It is also necessary to carry an updated permit to perform essential services.
